In their quest to compete in the 2010 World Cup, the US has shown how much they have improved, and that they are deserving of one of the top 32 spots. And Americans are wathcing… the Sunday match was seen on ESPN by 3.945 million viewers (in an Average of 2.556 million television homes) according to that network (based on a 2.6 rating) – the strongest ratings of a non-World Cup event.
